Robe
We arrived
in Robe and decided to check it all out first and the sun was shining for the
first time in a few days! We drove
around had a look at the lookouts and parts of it was like Naval Base and
Margaret River areas with the limestone cliffs.
We then drove around to look at the beach mansions, the marina which was
small and well-built and to see all the shops.
We decided to walk the main street and find a grocery store but came
across the local fish and chip shop. Not
finding the grocery store we decided to treat ourselves to lunch and they were
the best fish and chips we have ever tasted – better than Freo’s Ciccerellos,
and Albany’s Emu Point fish and chips. The Caledonian had some pricey rooms
with the Splash being available in winter for only $600 per night!
As it was a
beautiful day we then decided we should venture further along the way towards
Meningie while the sun shone!
