Mudgee

Mudgee is a great community according to some of the newest residents here, young couples who are building or bought here within the last few years!  It is surrounded by mountain views (well according to the few mountains in West Aust, they look beautiful!!)  lots of building happening and we even saw ten acre blocks within a 25km radius for sale for 129K which is cheaper than a basic house block here in town.  The community has a huge number of businesses...but do remember I live in a small town with very limited shop fronts operating... but like Gulgong, there are some beautiful buildings here and I love to see that many of them have retained the stained glass window features.  There is also a river, with designated walking and cycling pathways which I think every community should have...along with km measurements!!! This town is close to Bathurst where all males I know aspire to attend at least once in a lifetime, and it also close to towns which have snowfalls in winter, like Lithgow and Oberon.   We are fortunate to enjoy some special time with one of our son Ben's significant best friends for a while, reminiscing over twenty years of  events, funny times and also taking time to explore some of the surrounds.
