Eugowra
Eugowra,
like Sheffield in Tasmania but much tinier, depicts many murals here equally
worthy of visiting, and unfortunately most are unsigned! It is famous for
having had bushrangers such as Gardiner and Hall who held up the Gold Escort on
the road to Orange. One of the murals has
‘Where’s Wally’ hiding within. A
big fire occurred in 2001 and one mural depicts the volunteers as well as another depicting the Fat Lamb which was burnt down!. Legends of Rugby, Walsh, Beath, Hobby and
Norris. As it was bleak, bitterly cold
weather, there were not many people about on the Sunday but we did visit the
craft shop. A lot of work has gone into
attracting tourist to the town for its continued survival. Ooh and I added the pic from the loo where you had to pull the string!
